Job Description: As a Crew Leader for the Landscape Maintenance Division, you will manage crew laborers and ensure the completion of landscaping tasks. Ideally, with at least two years of landscape experience, you will maintain positive customer relations, ensure customer satisfaction, and complete jobs efficiently. You will provide landscape management services to meet property needs and increase customer satisfaction, monitoring quality through proactive communication with clients and the management team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Customer Relations: Maintain awareness of customer expectations and production quality on assigned properties. Communicate any deficiencies to production and support in finding resolutions.
- Safety: Support production in maintaining a safe working environment.
- Performance Monitoring: Oversee work crews’ performance on assigned properties. Communicate training, discipline, and process improvement needs to production.
- Best Practices: Support and participate in developing, implementing, and refining departmental best practices in field operations and safety.
- Customer Service: Provide and maintain excellent customer service, exceeding customer expectations.
- Field Reporting: Ensure accurate field reporting and record-keeping, facilitating effective communication between field and office.
- Tool and Vehicle Maintenance: Follow company policies, procedures, and forms to ensure proper maintenance of tools and company vehicles.
- Proactive Management: Inspect properties to identify and address landscape issues before the customer notices them.
- Property Appearance: Ensure properties meet customer expectations regarding appearance and beauty.
- Training: Support and assist in training laborers to deliver services consistent with contract specifications and company standards.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

- Plant knowledge and horticultural background are a plus. As are:
- Experience using a 21” lawn mower, hedge trimmer, blower, and edger.
- Experience with pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides.
- Knowledge of programming irrigation controllers.

The employee must be able to work in extreme conditions (temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit) and in direct sunlight for extended periods. Shade will be provided as necessary. The employee must also be able to bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the day.
